Shipping Cold Pack Items
For designated products the order MUST include a cold pack/insulated container ("FREEZY"), as well as suitable shipping, for Pangea to guarantee the product's condition upon arrival. Refrigerated items not shipped this way will not be eligible for replacement or refund if they arrive in spoiled condition. The checkout process should prompt you to choose whether you want a FREEZY or express shipping.For express shipping, we use UPS 2 Day Air service. Delivery takes place 2 business days after the day the package is shipped. Weekend days and holidays do not count as business days. The cost depends on the package weight, size, and destination. In most cases, the 2 Day Air shipping cost will be listed on our site as "Pending (but at least $XX.XX)," where $XX.XX varies depending on your location. Please remember to choose 2 Day Air as your shipping option unless the ship-to address is in one of the following states for which UPS Standard Ground Delivery from Pangea is 1-2 days: CT, DE, Chicago only in Illinois, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WV, and Northern GA. Only one FREEZY is needed per order. We will choose a carton size based on the number and sizes of items ordered. We regret that we cannot ship refrigerated/frozen items to addresses outside of the continental United States. Generally speaking, orders that include a cold pack will not be shipped out on Thursdays or Fridays, so as to avoid packages sitting in a UPS warehouse over a weekend. Cold-pack UPS 2-Day Air orders placed late Wednesday through Sunday will be shipped out the following Monday for a scheduled Wednesday delivery. However, if a customer declines the cold pack and chooses standard shipping when express shipping is indicated, the package will ship out as soon as possible and may end up waiting in a UPS warehouse over the weekend. |
