When I was a kid I loved eating fried fish fillets. Now as a compassionate vegan I no longer take part in that. These vegan fish fillets taste and texture is as close to my childhood favorite as I can remember. They are flaky and fishy :-) I fried them in some Earth Balance vegan butter and they cooked up quickly and nicely. Try them!

After 15 veg years, traditional fish and chips is about the only thing I miss that doesn't have a decent veg replacement. These aren't perfect, but are by far the best I've found. Though this lacks the proper battered coating, thickness and flakiness of my memories, it's not far off and is incredibly tasty with tartar sauce. Worlds better than the Sophie's or May Wah versions, imo.

I deep fried it and served with fries my son cried "mama you gave me the wrong kind of food". He thought it was real fish he has never tasted fish before, been vegan all his life. He didn't even trust his mother it tastes so real!
