The Tofurky Roast is a pre-cooked vegetarian feast designed to be the delicious centerpiece of your holiday table or everyday meal. Made from a revolutionary tofu-wheat protein blend, Tofurky is known for its incredible, turkey-like texture and flavor. Filled with delicious stuffing made of bread crumbs, brown and wild rice, onions, celery, garlic, herbs, and spices. You'll now have a high-protein entree of your own to place in the middle of your holiday dinner table!
Whether you are a veggie looking for something special to prepare or are a harried cook trying to find an easy way to make meatless family members welcome at your table, the famous Tofurky Feast will fit the bill! Directions:
(Tofurky Roast): Refrigerate Tofurky at least 24 hours prior to cooking. Place roast on sheet of aluminum foil or in casserole dish. Surround thawed Tofurky Roast with vegetables of your choice. Whisk Tofurky baste (recipe included) together. Thoroughly cover roast and veggies with 1/2 of the baste. Wrap or cover tightly. Cook in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Open foil or casserole dish and pour remaining baste over roast. Cook uncovered for another 10 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
(Tofurky Gravy): Heat on stovetop or in microwave.

Terrific Tofurkey

You're not going to fool anyone into thinking this is a real turkey but it is delicious all the same. I love the Tofurkey roast and my husband goes crazy for the gravy.

Really good meat analogs are kind of hard to come by. Some vegans just swear them off altogether. I, however, like finding and making new and interesting protein-rich foods that can appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. I have to say I was very impressed. It was actually quite flavorful and had a nice, chewy texture. Even my omnivore roommate enjoyed it, and he's pretty picky! The only complaint I have it that it was kind of smaller than expected. It filled me and my 2 roommates up pretty well, but any more than 3 people and I don't think it would be enough. Perhaps serve with generous portions of potatoes and a bit of extra stuffing on the side.
