These look no-nonsense (good) but weren't really my style (my wife said I looked like a nurse in them, I took that as a compliment), but they are vegan and looked sturdy. The problem is that the sole cracked in half after a few months of working in them, all the way through. This is just from crouching in a store, mind you, I wasn't bounding from a craggy rock face toward a flaming gorge. It bummed me out because they were comfy, vegan and black (and fit with my store's dress code) at first, but they broke down at a fundamental level once I wasn't just standing upright. I will say, though, that I might try another pair, but I'll have to not bend my feet if I do and that gets in the way of just, well, living. Why did they just snap like that?

I've had these shoes for several years now and they're still going strong. Whenever they wear out, this is definitely the shoe I'll be getting again. And they're made in the USA, which can't be said about many vegan shoes.
