| For shipping chocolates or certain other perishable items to any location during summer months, or at any time of year to warm locations, we recommend use of a cold pack with insulated carton, and 2-day shipping. This requires UPS 2-Day Air *UNLESS* the ship-to address is in one of the following states for which UPS standard ground delivery from Pangea is 1-2 days: CT, DC, DE, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, NC, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WV. |
| This cold pack option may be found among the products in the chocolate item departments, or you may simply type "FREEZY" into the Search box in the upper left corner of our site. The fee for the cold pack and insulated container is $5.95 regardless of the order size. However, if 2-Day Air shipping is required, the shipping cost will vary with location and order weight. In that case, if your order contains perishable items as well as heavier non-perishable items, it may be cheaper if you make two separate orders. You may call 1-800-340-1200 to find out the 2-Day Air shipping cost in advance. To avoid having perishable shipments sit in the UPS facility over the weekend, cold-packed orders will only ship out on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. |
| Since temperature changes can be more extreme for packages going outside the continental United States, chocolates and other perishable items may not arrive in good condition. |
| We're sorry, but if you choose to order chocolates, or those items designated as "cold-pack recommended" without ordering the cold pack (and 2-Day Air shipping if required), we cannot accept responsibility for products that arrive in poor condition. This also applies to perishable items shipped outside the continental United States, regardless of the shipping method. |
